Alex Chizhik has been with VIMRO since 2005 and serves as its Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel.
Alex’s exceptional and unique background assures that corporate operations are strategically aligned to guarantee that our clients receive expected results and outcomes.
Before joining VIMRO, Alex served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAGC), where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander. His assignments included serving as a military prosecutor and as an in-house counsel for a major naval installation. He also served as legal advisor to the Commander in charge of military and civilian security forces on the East Coast. During his last two years with the JAGC, Alex served as the Special Assistant United States Attorney; in this position, he prosecuted white-collar crimes committed against the Navy.
After the Navy, Alex joined a civil litigation firm in Baltimore, Maryland as a trial lawyer. Shortly afterward, he became a partner in its business litigation department. Here, he represented and advised businesses in all facets of business operations, including business formation, contracts, and employment.
With over 14 years of legal and business experience, Alex’s responsibilities include all aspects of financial, administrative, and regulatory compliance operations within VIMRO.
Alex holds a B.A. in Economics/Finance and a Juris Doctorate degree.
