Andrew Gugel is the Chief Technology Officer of VIMRO.
A nine-year veteran at the company, Andrew is responsible for managing all technical services and solutions. His breadth of experience in strategic and tactical networking and security services enables him to validate and deliver innovative, outcome-based client solutions.
As a sixteen-year scholar of emerging technologies with extensive consulting and business experience, Andrew brings a distinctive combination of executive skills and entrepreneurial spirit, which he balances with a hands-on approach to technology. Throughout the course of his career, he has worked with a large number of Fortune 100 customers, Internet industry giants, and government agencies to leverage advanced networking and security solutions, which has allowed them to meet their immediate and future business needs. Andrew spent three years working as a senior technology manager with Continental Resources as its national networking infrastructure division experienced rapid growth. In 2002, Andrew founded and was the CEO of a security firm that focused on the research and development of SSL VPN security technologies.
Andrew’s extensive list of technology certifications includes Cisco Systems CCIE, Microsoft MCSE, Novell CNE, Checkpoint CCSE, VMware VCP, and ISC2 CISSP, as well as a variety of product specific certifications from Apple, HP, and Sun Microsystems (Oracle). Before he worked in technology, Andrew served in the U.S. Navy while concurrently studying in the field of medicine.
